Selfra processes everything on the device in your home. Video never leaves. The model is trained to ignore people and recognize only food and surfaces. You see what it sees, and you can delete any of it, any time.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with insurers, employers, or advertisers. Your body is yours. The ledger of it is yours too.
What is collected
Only food, surfaces, and the times you cook.
Selfra captures structured data about ingredients, quantities, preparation methods, and meal timing. It does not capture audio, conversations, or biometric identifiers.
What stays on device
Raw video. Always. Without exception.
Vision processing runs locally on the Selfra device. Frames are analyzed and immediately discarded. Only structured nutrition data, never imagery, ever leaves your home.
What you control
Export, pause, or delete in one tap.
Pause the camera from the app or by covering the lens. Export your full nutrition history as a portable file. Delete your account and Selfra forgets you within 24 hours, end to end.
How to request deletion
One email. No retention games.
Write to privacy@selfra.ai or use Settings, Delete my data. We confirm within one business day and complete erasure within 24 hours, including backups. You receive a written certificate when done.
- When is Selfra shipping?
- We are building toward a 2027 release. Waitlist members are invited to a small private beta before then. We will not ship a kitchen camera until we are certain of the privacy model and the accuracy of the underlying intelligence.
- What does the camera actually see?
- A small matte enclosure mounts under any cabinet. It sees your countertop, your stove, and the inside of your fridge when the door opens. Recognition runs on the device. Audio is not captured.
- Where does my data live?
- All vision processing happens locally on the device. Raw video never leaves your home. The model is trained to ignore people and to retain only food and surface information. You own your data and can export or delete it at any time.
